The Project Engineer will involve becoming a member of the ATS team, responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of customised automated equipment projects

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Full accountability of all aspects of project delivery from project kick-off phase including:
    • Ensuring the customer User Requirement Specifications (URS) are delivered to the customers satisfaction.
      • Be voice of customer internally
    • Ensure work is completed to the correct standard.
    • Drive timelines among the team
    • Ensuring project milestones are achieved
  • Act as project lead working with design, controls, and workshop teams to manage prioritisation of tasks
    • Approve detailed plans
  • Provide problem solving support to each of the teams during the project to ensure quick resolutions to technical issues.
    • Management of project issues by creating open issues lists and prioritising based on resources and targets
    • Escalate problems as necessary in timely manner to ensure deadlines maintained
  • Present project reviews to customers and ATS managers
  • Work closely with Programme Manager and Resources Manager to overcome resourcing and planning conflicts between projects
  • Deliver documentation suite including quality, safety and end user documents

  • Experience working within a regulated environment to GAMP V guidelines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are vital as you will have to work within a technical team and be expected to communicate on project specification and issues that are arise on a day to day basis
    • Manage customer expectations
    • Identify and assess impact of scope changes
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Good leadership skills
    • Assertive to ensure that both company, customer and project priorities are understood and fully implemented by all stakeholders
    • Ability to successfully reconcile any conflicts that may arise

    • Motivate and inspire team members to deliver on commitments

Educational, Experience & Competencies:

  • Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline
  • Practical experience of mechanical, electrical & controls systems required
  • Relevant experience in a similar role required
  • Proven track record in leading engineering teams effectively
  • Proven track record of ownership and delivery of commitments
  • Self-starter with good attention to detail
  • Proven track record in problem solving and delivering complex engineering projects
  • Demonstrates an ability to take initiative and be innovative
